02-02-2018 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned A.P.P. for the State.
Petitioner, in the present case, is seeking regular bail in connection with Trial No. 51 of 2017 arising out of Gaunaha P.S. Case No. 96/2017 registered for the offence punishable under Sections 20(b), 23, 27(a) of the N.D.P.S. Act pending in the court of learned Additional Sessions Judge - 3rd, Bettiah, West Champaran. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in the F.I.R. it appears that the petitioner was found possession of 3 kg. 900 gm. of Ganja along with motorcycle. The petitioner was driving the motorcycle which belongs to him only.
In these circumstances, I am not inclined to grant
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.5001 of 2018 (2) dt.02-02-2018 regular bail to the petitioner at this stage. Accordingly, prayer for regular bail of the petitioner is rejected. However, trial court is directed to expedite the trial of the case.
