2. Petitioner seeks regular bail in a case registered for the offence punishable under sections 302/201 of the Indian Penal Code.

3. As per prosecution case, petitioner is husband of the deceased. Petitioner was seen locking the room in which dead body of his wife was lying.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and has falsely been implicated in this case. there is no eye witness to the occurrence. Charge sheet has already been submitted. Petitioner claims clean antecedent and he is in custody since 28.6.2025.

5. Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer for bail. During investigation, witnesses in paragraphs 8 and 9

No.68143 of 2025(3) dt.09-12-2025 2/2 of the case diary, have stated that the petitioner, after locking the room at 6 am went somewhere and his wife (deceased) was seen lying still on the bed inside the room. Thereafter, on information, police came and opened the door and dead body was recovered.

6. Considering the gravity of accusation as well as the materials collected during course of investigation, petition for bail of this petitioner is dismissed. Since, petitioner is in custody, let the trial be expedited and concluded preferably within a year.
