Petitioner, already in custody, seeks bail in connection with Sirdalla P. S. Case No. 275 of 2017, registered under Section 30 (a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016. The allegation in brief is that huge amount of illicit foreign liquor was kept in the bush on the river bank where the petitioner was also apprehended.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was apprehended merely on the basis of suspicion as he was not found for preparing the illicit liquor. It is submitted that the petitioner has no criminal antecedent and he is in custody since 31.10.2017.

No.4857 of 2018 (2) dt.31-01-2018 2/2 Having considered the said facts and circumstances, the petitioner, Jayram Manjhi, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- ( Ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Additional Judge- II -cum - Special Judge, Nawada, in connection with Sirdalla P.
