2. The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Kishanganj P.S. Case No. 321 of 2023 registered for the offence under Sections 363, 365/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

3. The allegation against the petitioner is that he had detained the victim for demanding ransom and thereafter, the victim was assaulted by the petitioner and threatened that if ransom was not paid then he will kill the victim.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the victim and the petitioner were known from before and this is not a case for kidnapping for ransom.

5. The allegations have been supported by the victim in his statement made under Section 164 of the Cr.P.C.

6. In view of the aforesaid fact, this Court is not

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.69403 of 2023(2) dt.01-11-2023 2/2 inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

7. The trial is directed to be expedited.
