The petitioner, who is in custody, seeks bail in connection with Teghra P.S. Case No. 20 of 2017 registered for the offence punishable under Section 304(B)/34 of the Indian Penal Code.
Informant is the father of deceased who in his fardbeyan has stated that the marriage of his daughter was solemnized with Dinesh Mahto in the year 2013 and her husband used to demand Rs. 20,000/- as dowry and on account of non-fulfillment of demand of dowry she was continuously being tortured and assaulted. It has been further stated that the husband of the deceased has illicit relation with petitioner
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.13999 of 2018(3) dt.05-04-2018 2/2 who is sister in law. On 15.01.2017 he received informant from his son-in-law that his daughter has committed suicide. Petitioner is sister in law of deceased and there is no specific allegation against her of any demand of dowry and she is residing separately with her family and was not concerned with the day to day affairs of deceased and her husband. Her husband is already in judicial custody and petitioner is in jail since 11.12.2017 and she has no criminal antecedent. Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, let the petitioner named above be released on bail upon furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned C.J.M., Begusarai, in connection with Teghra P.S. Case No. 20 of 2017.
