JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 21-10-2024 Though the present writ petition has been filed for directing the respondent-authorities to issue arms license to the petitioner under the heirloom policy, however, at the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks a direction upon the District Magistrate, Rohtas at Sasaram to dispose off the application filed by the petitioner on 06.06.2019, for the said purpose.

2. Per contra, the learned counsel for the respondentState submits that in case any application has been filed by the petitioner for grant of arms license and the same is still pending consideration, the same would definitely be disposed off, within

Patna High Court CWJC No.15889 of 2024(2) dt.21-10-2024 2/2 a stipulated time frame, as is fixed by this Court.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, I deem it fit and proper to direct the District Magistrate, Rohtas at Sasaram, to dispose off the aforesaid application, filed by the petitioner for grant and/or transfer of arms license, in case the same has actually been filed and is still pending consideration, by passing a reasoned and a speaking order in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

4. The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
