Petitioner, already in custody, seeks bail in connection with Dhaka (Pachpakari) P.S. Case No.307 of 2016, giving rise to Sessions Trial No.1149 of 2017, registered under Sections 304B/34 of the Indian Penal Code.
Allegation in brief is that within eight months of marriage and within five days after going to the in-laws place, the daughter of the informant was done to death by setting fire on her body Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that it was an accidental death; whereas the learned counsel for the State submits that in such a short period of marriage the daughter of the informant was burnt to death for realizing further dowry and
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.20377 of 2018(2) dt.06-04-2018 2/2 the trial is in progress.
Having considered the aforesaid facts and circumstances, the prayer of the bail of the petitioner is rejected in connection with Dhaka (Pachpakari) P.S. Case No.307 of 2016, giving rise to Sessions Trial No.1149 of 2017 pending in the court of learned 13th Additional Sessions Judge, Motihari, East Champaran with a direction to the trial court to expedite the trial and preferably conclude the same within a year.
