1. The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief(s):- "1(i) A writ in the nature of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ(s), order(s) or direction(s) be issued commanding the respondent authorities to issue arms licence for pistol/revolver to the petitioner.
2. At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks a direction upon the District Magistrate, Kaimur at Bhabhua to dispose off the pending application, filed by the petitioner on 12.01.2022, for grant of arms license.
3. Per contra, the learned counsel for the respondentState submits that in case the aforesaid application, filed by the petitioner, is still pending consideration, the same shall be
Patna High Court CWJC No.17255 of 2023(2) dt.07-08-2024 2/2 disposed off, within a stipulated time frame, as is fixed by this Hon'ble Court.
4. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, I deem it fit and proper to direct the District Magistrate, Kaimur at Bhabhua to dispose off the aforesaid application, filed by the petitioner, in case the same has actually been filed and is still pending, by passing a reasoned and a speaking order, in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
5. The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
