Petitioner, already in custody, seeks bail in connection with Chhatapur PS Case No.79 of 2016, registered under Sections 307, 379, 354, 147, 148, 149, 342, 323, 324, 504 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code as well as under Section 27 of the Arms Act.

The specific accusation against the petitioner is of opening fire and causing firearm injury to the informant. Later on informant was also assaulted on the head and corresponding firearm injury is found on the person of the informant. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that there is case and counter case between both sides on account of land dispute and the petitioner is in custody since 12.03.2018.

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.29182 of 2018(2) dt.14-05-2018 2/2 Having considered the specific accusation against the petitioner, presently the prayer of bail is rejected in connection with Chhatapur PS Case No.79 of 2016, pending in the court of learned CJM, Supaul.

However, the petitioner may renew his prayer of bail after six months.
