The petitioner is in custody since 16.08.2016 in connection with Saharsa Sadar P.S.Case No.682 of 2016 registered for an offence under Sections 384, 386 and 387 of the IPC.

According to the FIR, some unknown persons demanded ransom from the informant over mobile. In course of investigation, one Kartik Kumar @ Chhotu was apprehended who disclosed the name of this petitioner and Santosh Kumar. The said Santosh Kumar has been allowed bail by one of the coordinate Bench of this Court in Cr.Misc.No.53398 of 2016. The other co-accused persons have also been allowed bail by this Court in

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.60675 of 2017 (2) dt.19-12-2017 2/2 Cr.Misc.No.43459 of 2016, petitioner has remained in custody for more than one year and except one case registered for the offence under Section 307 of the IPC, in which he is on bail, there is no other antecedent.

The learned APP opposed the submissions.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, prayer for bail is allowed. Let the above named petitioner be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of ACJM-IV, Saharsa in connection with Saharsa Sadar P.S.Case No.682 of 2016.
