1. The limited prayer, made by the petitioner, in the present case is to direct the District Magistrate, West Champaran at Bettiah to dispose off the application, filed by the petitioner for grant of arms license on 10.01.2024.

2. Per contra, the learned counsel for the respondent-State submits that in case the petitioner has filed any application for grant of arms license, the same would definitely be considered in accordance with law and be disposed off, within a fixed time frame, as is fixed by this Court.

3. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, I deem it fit and proper to direct the District Magistrate,

Patna High Court CWJC No.16618 of 2024(2) dt.29-10-2024 2/2 West Champaran at Bettiah to consider the aforesaid application, filed by the petitioner for grant of arms license, in case the same has actually been filed and is still pending consideration and pass a reasoned and a speaking order, in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

4. The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
