The petitioner is in custody since 12.03.2018 in connection with Tajpur P.S. Case No. 78 of 2018 for the offence registered under Sections 323, 324, 307, 448, 504 and 506/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that though there is an allegation that the petitioner attacked with Farsa, the injury report entirely belies the prosecution case, inasmuch as the injuries are said to be of hard and blunt object. It is further submitted that the petitioner has been roped in connection with the present case on account of land dispute between the parties.
