Petitioner seeks bail in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 147, 148, 149, 341, 323, 385, 387, 364 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 27 of the Arms Act.
For land dispute, there is allegation of commission of assault and abduction of the father of the informant. The father of the informant though has supported the allegation of abduction in his statement under Section 164 Cr.P.C., however, he is specific that petitioner and others demanded ransom at the time of ploughing the field and forcefully took him away.
Considering the land dispute between the parties which is background for allegation of demand of ransom, let the
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.37394 of 2018 (2) dt.03-07-2018 2/2 petitioner, above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Court below where the case is pending in connection with Gogari (Paura) Police Station Case No. 14 of 2018, subject to the condition that the petitioner shall fully cooperate with the investigation/trial of the case, failing which the court below shall be at liberty to cancel the bail bond of the petitioner as well as condition that both the bailors shall be resident of within the territorial jurisdiction of the learned court below.
