1. The learned senior counsel for the petitioner has confined the prayer, made in the present writ petition to issuance of a direction upon the appellate authority to dispose off the appeal, filed by the petitioner on 16.04.2012, against the order of punishment of dismissal from service dated 19.04.2011, within a stipulated time frame.

2. The learned counsel for the respondent-State submits that in case the aforesaid appeal is pending, the same would definitely be disposed off, within a stipulated time frame, as is directed by this Court.

3. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, I deem it fit and proper to direct the appellate authority to dispose off the aforesaid appeal, filed by the petitioner, in case the same has been filed and is still pending, by passing a reasoned and a speaking order, in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

4. The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
