2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, learned counsel for the State and the learned counsel for the informant.
3. This application has been filed for quashing of the order dated 19.12.2016 passed by the learned Addl. Chief Judicial Magistrate-VI, Samastipur in Pusa P.S. Case No. 96 of 2016 by which the Court below took cognizance against the petitioner under Sections 341, 323, 498A, 504, 506/34 of the IPC and Section 3⁄4 of the DP Act.
4. As per the prosecution case, the informant has alleged that after two months of marriage, the family members
Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.3233 of 2018(5) dt.07-07-2025 2/2 of her in-laws started demanding dowry and due to nonfulfillment of demand of dowry, she was subjected to cruelty and torture.
5. It has jointly been submitted by the learned counsels for both the parties that the parties have settled their dispute and the O.P. No. 2 has already re-married.
6. In view of the aforesaid facts, the application is allowed. Accordingly, the order dated 19.12.2016 passed by the learned Addl. Chief Judicial Magistrate-VI, Samastipur in Pusa P.S. Case No. 96 of 2016 is hereby quashed against all the accused persons.
