JUSTICE PURNENDU SINGH ORAL JUDGMENT Date : 06-11-2023 Heard Mr. Vikas Mohan, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner; Mr. Pawan Kumar, learned counsel for the Bihar State Housing Board and Mr. Ratan Kumar, learned counsel for the Life Insurance Corporation.

2. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner seeks to file a detailed representation before the Managing Director, Bihar State Housing Board for redressal of the reliefs as prayed for in the present writ petition.

3. Considering the aforesaid submission, the Managing Director, Bihar State Housing Board is directed to consider the reliefs of the petitioner as sought for in the present

Patna High Court CWJC No.15273 of 2023 dt.06-11-2023 2/2 writ petition in accordance with law and must ensure to give equal treatment as has been given to similarly situated retired employees within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order considering the fact that the petitioner had retired in the year 28.02.2009.

4. In case of failure, this Court will be forced to impose cost as well as the concerned respondents will be held liable to pay the compensation to the petitioner for having caused delay in making payment of pensionary benefits to which the petitioner is entitled for in accordance with law.

5. The above exercise for payment of retiral benefits along with interest on account of delay in making payment for nearly a decade must be carried on within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order.

6. The petitioner, if so advised, may also assist the Managing Director to facilitate redressal of his grievance

7. The writ application stands disposed of.
