2. The petitioner has prayed for regular bail in a case registered for the offence punishable under sections 137(2), 140(3), 61(2) and 3(5) of Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

3. As per prosecution case, petitioner along with other accused person forcefully got off the informant along with his wife from a bus while they were going to Ludhiana and thereafter they brought them to a room where the petitioner called the mother of the informant and demanded Rs. 5,000/- as ransom.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and has committed no offence. He has falsely been implicated in this case. It is further submitted that

No.71934 of 2024(2) dt.05-10-2024 2/2 from perusal of the F.I.R. it appears that no any ransom demand was executed as the payment of Rs. 5,000/- got failed which was made through UPI. It is also submitted that both parties have compromised this case which is apparent from Annexure-2 of this petition. Petitioner has got no criminal antecedent. Moreover, he is languishing in judicial custody since 26.07.2024.

5. Learned APP appearing for the state has opposed the prayer of regular bail.

6. Having heard learned counsel for the parties and considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this court is inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. The above named petitioner is directed to be released on bail in connection with Kanti P.S. Case No. 379 of 2024 on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, 3rd(W), Muzaffarpur.
