2. The petitioner, who superannuated from the post of Associate Professor, B. S. College, Danapur on 31.07.2020, has filed the present writ petition seeking a direction upon the respondents to grant all the retirement benefits, including the GIC, arrears of salary and other dues.

3. In compliance of the order of this Court, a counter affidavit has been filed on behalf of respondent nos. 2, 5 and 8.

4. A categorical assertion has been made that admissible group insurance to the tune of Rs.61,243/- has already been paid to the petitioner through Cheque no. 080945 dated 12.08.2023. Further the claim of the petitioner with respect to arrears of salary were examined and admissible amount to the tune of Rs.3,94,948/- has been credited to the B.S. College, Danapur through cheque dated 06.12.2023 vide letter no. 141 dated 07.12.2023 and instruction has also been given to the Principal of B.S. College, Danapur to disburse Rs.3,94,948/- to the petitioner.

5. At this juncture, it is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that the amount has not been credited in the account of the petitioner.

6. Considering the materials available on record

Patna High Court CWJC No.17243 of 2022 dt.04-01-2024 3/3 and the submissions advanced on behalf of the parties, the present writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the Principal, B.S. College, Danapur to ensure payment of the aforenoted amount to the tune of Rs.3,94,948/- preferably within a period of one week from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order, failing which cost of Rs.25000/- shall be realized from his pocket.

7. If the petitioner has still any grievance, he can make proper representation before the concerned authority, who shall consider the claim of the petitioner and dispose of the same by a reasoned and speaking order.
