1. At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to challenge the order dated 03.09.2024, passed by the District Magistrate, Patna, whereby and whereunder, the application of the petitioner for grant of arms license has been rejected, by filing appropriate appeal under Section 18 of the Arms Act, 1959. Liberty so sought is granted.

2. It is needless to state that in case appropriate appeal is filed within a period of four weeks from today, the Appellate Authority shall consider the same on merits and pass a reasoned

Patna High Court CWJC No.16344 of 2024(2) dt.28-10-2024 2/2 and a speaking order, in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks, thereafter.

3. The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
