JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 24-09-2024 The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief:- "For issuance of an appropriate writ, order or direction commanding the respondents to return/hand over rifle, revolver and cartridge of the petitioner, being possessed by him on account of him having valid Arms License No.1169/1980, as also Arms Licence No.32 of 1994, which have been seized on account of lodging of Bihiya Police Station Case No.206/2018, dated 27.05.2018, inasmuch as neither the petitioner is an accused in the said case nor he was ever sent up for trial." 2.

After some arguments, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks not to press the present writ petition, however,

Patna High Court CWJC No.15535 of 2023(5) dt.24-09-2024 2/2 seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to avail such other alternative remedies as are otherwise available under the law, including that of approaching the District Magistrate, Bhojpur at Ara for redressal of his aforesaid grievances. Liberty, so sought, is granted.
