JUSTICE ARUN KUMAR ORAL ORDER 15-01-2018 Heard learned counsels for the petitioner and the State. The petitioner, already in custody, seeks bail in connection with Banmankhi P.S.Case No. 09 of 2017 registered under Sections 304B and 201/34 of the Indian penal Code. Allegation in brief is that informant's daughter was tortured by husband and family members of her Sasural for further demand of dowry and she was killed by the accused persons by setting fire on her body thereafter dead body was disposed of. Submission is that petitioner is a labourer and on the alleged date of occurrence, he was in Punjab and father-in-law namely Chhataharu Das and mother-in-law have been granted anticipatory bail by a co-ordinate bench of this Court vide order dated 12.09.2017 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 18420 of 2017. Having considered the allegation against the petitioner
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.62270 of 2017 (2) dt.15-01-2018 2/2 being husband of the deceased and the dead body was disposed of as per allegation after killing her for dowry, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.
Trial court is directed to expedite the trial and preferably conclude it within a year.
