The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Pursotampur P.S. Case No. 51 of 2019, registered for offence punishable under Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and has falsely been implicated in the present case. Further submission is that the alleged recoveries were not made from the conscious possession of the petitioner but from the Triveni Canal near the dam. The petitioner has no criminal antecedent and he is in custody since 22.06.2019.

No.63018 of 2019(2) dt.24-10-2019 2/2 Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions advanced on behalf of the parties, let the above-named petitioner be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Special Judge, Excise, West Champaran at Bettiah in connection with Pursotampur P.S. Case No. 51 of 2019.
