The grievance of the petitioners in the instant case is non-payment of salary from August, 2018 till date. The issue as to payment of salary requires verification of the records.

In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the District Programme Officer (Establishment), Rohtas to verify the records and after

Patna High Court CWJC No.19997 of 2019(2) dt.01-10-2019 2/2 verification if he comes to the conclusion that the petitioners have worked for the period they are claiming salary, the District Programme Officer shall ensure payment of salary for the period the petitioners have worked as taking work and denying salary is Beggari which is violative of Article 23 of the Constitution of India. Necessary decision in this regard must be taken by the respondent-District Programme Officer (Establishment), Rohtas at the earliest preferably within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order. With the aforesaid, the writ petition stands disposed of.
