The petitioner has prayed for bail in a case registered for the offence punishable under sections 341, 342, 323, 498(A), 504, 506/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

Prosecution case relates to torture and harassment to the daughter of the informant by the petitioner and his family members due to non-fulfillment of dowry demand. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner has submitted that petitioner is husband of informant and has been falsely implicated in this case. No specific overt act is attributed against the petitioner. As per para 9 of the petition,

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.69280 of 2022(2) dt.28-02-2023 2/2 petitioner is ready to keep his wife with full honour and dignity. Petitioner is languishing in judicial custody since 08.06.2022. The application for bail is opposed by learned APP for the State.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this court is inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. The above named petitioner is directed to be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Rs. ten thousand only) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Judicial Magistrate 1st Class, Patna City in connection with Malsalami P.S. Case No. 299 of 2022.
