The petitioner has come to this Court seeking appropriate directions to the concerned authorities to take a conscious decision regarding the appointment of the petitioner on compassionate ground against the vacant post in terms of the State policy for providing employment to dependent family members of government servants who died in harness. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the father of the petitioner died in harness while working as a Peon in Government High School, Deokali within the district of Gaya

Patna High Court CWJC No.21084 of 2019(2) dt.21-11-2019 2/2 on 20.06.2016. It is further submitted that after his father's sudden demise, the petitioner filed an application dated 14.10.2016 before the appropriate authority for consideration of his case for compassionate appointment. Thereafter, the District Programme Officer, Gaya, was also approached by the petitioner for redressal of his grievance so that he could be taken into employment on compassionate ground. Learned counsel for the petitioner thus submits that till date, the issue has not been decided nor has any recommendation been made in his favour. Considering the aforementioned facts and circumstances of the case, let the authorities conduct an exercise within a period of three months from the date of receipt/ production of a copy of this order.

It is made clear that whatever exercise is conducted must be in accordance with the relevant provisions and the case of the petitioner be determined positively by the said date. With the aforementioned directions, the writ application stands disposed of.
