Petitioner apprehends arrest in a case registered for the offence punishable under sections 341, 323, 379, 385, 504, 506, 353, 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

It is alleged that the petitioner and his associates reached at the work site of the informant, stopped the work, abused and assaulted the informant and demanded Rs. 20,000 as extortion money.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is a ward member of the Gram Panchayat and his name has falsely been dragged in the case due to Gram Panchayat politics. There is general and omnibus allegation against all the accused persons and in fact no extortion money was paid to anyone.

No.68644 of 2022(2) dt.04-04-2023 2/2 Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, in the event of arrest or surrender within six weeks from today, let the petitioner, as named above, be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/-(ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Bagha, West Champaran, Bettiah, in connection wtih Ram Nagar P.S. case no.202 of 2022 subject to the conditions laid down under section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
