Petitioner, already in custody, seeks bail in connection with Laheri P.S. Case No.135 of 2018, registered under Sections 356, 379 and 511 of the Indian Penal Code.

Accusation is that this petitioner was apprehended by the local people after a brief chase after making an attempt of snatching chain from the lady, the informant. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was apprehended on suspicion but the real culprit escaped away, however, chain was not snatched and the petitioner has also no such criminal antecedent. Having considered the aforesaid facts and circumstances, petitioner Pintu Kumar is directed to be released

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.48647 of 2018(2) dt.07-08-2018 2/2 on bail subject to verification of his criminal antecedent on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned CJM, Nalanda, Biharsharif in connection with Laheri P.S. Case No.135 of 2018.
