Mr. APP ====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE ASHUTOSH KUMAR ORAL ORDER 31-08-2021 Heard Mr. Vijay Anand, the learned Advocate for the petitioner and Mr. Indrajit Kumar, the learned counsel for the opposite party No. 2. The State is represented by the learned APP.

The petitioner, who is the husband of the opposite party No. 2, seeks bail in connection with Complaint Case No. 81C of 2018 in which cognizance has been taken against him for the offences under Section 498(A) of the Indian

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.65504 of 2019(6) dt.31-08-2021 2/2 Penal Code and Section 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act. By order dated 06.02.2020, the matter was sent for mediation between the parties before the Patna High Court Mediation Centre and the petitioner was granted interim reprieve.

Pursuant to the mediation, the opposite party No. 2 was taken to her matrimonial home but shortly thereafter, she was again tortured and thrown out of her matrimonial house. She has also filed another case with respect to such occurrence.

In the aforesaid circumstances, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. The prayer for grant of bail of the petitioner is, accordingly, rejected. The interim order also stands vacated.

The application stands dismissed.
