1. Heard the parties.

2. Mr. Vinay Kiriti Singh, learned senior counsel appearing for the North Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited, states that as per Section 42(5) of the Electricity Act, Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum has already been formed in the State of Bihar in each District, where the consumers can raise grievances relating to wrong meter reading or other grievances relating to electricity charges, where the petitioner

Patna High Court CWJC No.17181 of 2022(6) dt.03-04-2023 2/2 can always raise her grivance and the concerned Forum can examine factual aspects also.

3. Keeping in view above, learned counsel for the petitioner prays to allow to raise her grievance before the concerned Forum.

4. Granting her liberty, it is directed that if such a complaint is filed before the concerned Forum, which shall be decided within a period of 30 days from the date of filing of complaint.

5. The petitioner shall be always free to challenge such proceedings before the Appellate Forum, if need so arises.

6. During the pendency of the said complaint, no coercive steps shall be taken against the petitioner.
