The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Basopatti P.S. Case No. 229 of 2018 (G.R. No. 1405 of 2018), registered for offence punishable under Sections 272 and 273 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 30(a) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and has falsely been implicated on the basis of confessional statement of co-accused. Further submission is that nothing has been recovered from the conscious possession of the petitioner and he has no concern with the illicit liquor. The petitioner has no criminal antecedent and he is in custody since 19.08.2019.
