2. This application is filed for quashing the cognizance order dated 06.10.2017 by which learned SDJM, Masaurhi has taken cognizance against the petitioner in Dhanarua P.S. Case No. 158/2016 registered for the offence under Sections 498(A), 494, 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

3. It appears that the cognizance order is of the year 2017 and the same has been challenged in the year 2023, after inordinate delay that too without any explanation.
