2. The present application has been preferred for the following relief(s):

(i) issuance of an order/direction or appropriate writ commanding the respondents more specifically Respondent No. 3 (DCLR, Banka) to take a final decision with regard to Jamabandi rectification of the land of the Petitioner being Plot No. 981, 983, 982,984 and 2714 of Mauza Chandan, Thana No. 141/1, Total Area 1.96 acre on report of Circle Inspector and Circle Officer

Patna High Court CWJC No.15559 of 2023(3) dt.13-07-2026 2/3 as contained in Annexure 4 & 5.

(ii) For a direction upon the Respondents to accept land revenue @ Rs.

100/- per acre as recommended by the Circle Officer and Circle Inspector, Chandan on rectification of jamabandi.

(iii) To pass such order/orders, direction/directions as your Lordships may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case.

It is unfortunate that the petitioner has to knock the doors of this Court with a simple prayer- direct the respondent no. 3, the Deputy Collector Land Reforms, Banka to dispose of the Jamabandi Rectification of the land of the petitioner details of which is/are already recorded in paragraph 1 of the petition.

4. The short case of the petitioner is that pursuant to the direction of the DCLR, Banka, the Circle Officer, Chandan submitted a report relating to the land of the petitioner on 08.09.2018 and 13.09.2018 and despite the receipt of the report, the DCLR, Banka has failed to move further.

5. The writ petition was filed in the year 2023 and today, on call, prayer for adjournment for filing affidavit has been made.

6. This Court has two options, either to impose cost while allowing the prayer for adjournment, alternatively, to

Patna High Court CWJC No.15559 of 2023(3) dt.13-07-2026 3/3 direct the concerned respondent, the DCLR, Banka to ensure that the case of the petitioner is taken to its logical conclusion in four weeks (if still not decided) from the date the petitioner files a fresh petition along with the copy of the order.

7. Failure to act, he/she shall be inviting an adverse order from the Court.

8. With the aforesaid observation, the writ petition is disposed of.

9. Before parting, this Court would like to put on record its word of appreciation for Ms. Supragya for the proper assistance rendered in the matter.
