1. In pursuance to the earlier order of this Court dated 03.05.2024, the District Magistrate, Gaya has passed an order, whereby and whereunder, it has been directed to grant arms license to the petitioner, as has been submitted by the learned counsel for the respondent-State, by referring to the counter affidavit filed on behalf of the respondent no.4.

2. In view of the aforesaid, I deem fit and proper to direct the District Magistrate, Gaya to formally hand over the arms license to the petitioner, within a period of 48 hours from

Patna High Court CWJC No.15617 of 2023(3) dt.17-05-2024 2/2 today, failing which, the District Magistrate, Gaya, shall not draw his salary. It is needless to state that thereafter, the petitioner shall be at liberty to purchase the requisite arms, as is permissible under the law.

3. The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
