JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 26-07-2022 A show cause reply has been filed on behalf of the then Public Grievance Redressal Officer, Madhubani, Sri Sunil Kumar Jha, wherein it has been stated that on account of misjudgment / mistake, the order dated 10.10.2017 was passed for which he tenders unconditional apology before this Court. Apology, so tendered, is accepted. Though the present writ petition was filed for quashing of the order dated 10.10.2017 passed by the Public Grievance Redressal Officer, Madhubani, however, on account of the intervening events, the said order dated

Patna High Court CWJC No.1268 of 2018(5) dt.26-07-2022 2/2 10.10.2017 has been withdrawn and the concerned police station has been directed to take appropriate decision on the application submitted by the applicant, in accordance with law.

It is submitted that the order dated 10.10.2017, passed by the Public Grievance Redressal Officer, Madhubani, has stood withdrawn by an order dated 25.7.2022 passed by the Second Appellate Authority cum District Magistrate, Madhubani, which has been handed over to this Court and is taken on record.

In such view of the matter, nothing survives for consideration, however, at this juncture, the learned counsel for the petitioner has prayed that the petitioner be granted liberty to seek compensation for the wrong and illegal action of the said authorities, in accordance with law. Liberty, so sought, is granted.

The writ petition stands disposed of.
