The petitioner has come before this Court seeking correction of his date of birth in his certificate on the ground tht the examination was conducted in 2012 while the date of birth mentions year of birth as 2019. The correction is required to be made for which he has moved an application.

However, the counsel appearing for the Board wants time to make proper corrections.

Keeping in view the law laid down in Jigya Yadav Vrs. the CBSE & Ors., reported in (2021) 7 SCC 535 this Court allows the Central Board of Secondary Education to make suitable correction as per the record and issue a fresh certificate

Patna High Court CWJC No.17682 of 2022(2) dt.03-01-2023 2/2 expeditiously, preferably within a period of two months. The writ petition stands allowed.
