The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that though the father of the petitioner had filed an application, way back in the year 2013 for transfer of his valid arms licence in the name of his son, before the District Magistrate, Patna but nothing has yet been done in the matter, however the father of the petitioner is again ready and willing to file a fresh application before the concerned District Magistrate under Rule 25 of the Arms Rule, 2016 for transfer of the arms licence, existing in the name of the father of the petitioner to the petitioner herein. It is submitted that the District Magistrate be directed to expedite the matter.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of
Patna High Court CWJC No.20204 of 2019 dt.17-10-2019 2/2 this case, I deem it fit and proper to dispose of the present writ petition with liberty to the father of the petitioner to file appropriate application under the provisions of Rule 25 of the Arms Rule, 2016 before the District Magistrate, Patna for transfer of his valid licence in the name of the petitioner and in case, such an application is filed, the District Magistrate, Patna shall dispose off the same within a period of 16 weeks thereafter.

The present writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
