Petitioner is an accused in a case registered for the offence punishable under sections 328/498A/304B of the IPC. It is alleged that the petitioner, who happens to be the husband of the deceased, along with his family members subjected his wife to cruelty for fetching dowry soon after marriage in 2018 and when she failed to do the same, they killed her by administering poison.

Learned counsel for the petitioner, while refuting the allegation, submits that the deceased was of unsound mind and she herself consumed poison. Petitioner is in custody since 26.2.2019.

In view of the nature of allegation against the petitioner, the prayer for bail is refused.
