JUSTICE SUNIL KUMAR PANWAR ORAL ORDER 05-04-2023 The present petition has been filed for modification of the order dated 11.05.2022 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 50597 of 2021 to the extent of extending the period of surrender.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that petitioner is posted as Constable in the Central Reserve Police Force and after expiry of his leave, he went back to join the duty, as such, he could not furnish bis bail bonds within the stipulated period of time.

The petitioner was granted bail vide order dated

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.22303 of 2023(2) dt.05-04-2023 2/2 11.05.2022 whereas the present modification application has been filed on 29.03.2023 which suggests the lackadaisical approach of the petitioner in complying the order of this Court. In such circumstance, the petitioner is directed to deposit Rs. 20,000/- before District Legal Services Authority, Lakhisarai.

On the ground mentioned in the modification petition, the same is allowed. The period of surrender is further extended for a period of four weeks from today. The order dated 11.05.2022 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 50597 of 2021 is modified to the extent as indicated above.

Accordingly, the petition stands allowed.
