This application is for grant of regular bail in connection with Goh P.S.Case no.12 of 2000 dated 25.2.2000 for the offences under Section 436 of the Indian Penal Code. The case is of the year, 2000. The petitioner is named in the FIR and there is allegation against him that he set the house of the informant on fire. It further appear that the petitioner appears in this case on 13.5.2018 after almost 18 years. Submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that he is in custody for five months.
Heard learned A.P.P. also.
Having heard both sides and in view of the facts and circumstances, as stated above, I am not inclined to grant bail to
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.61756 of 2018 (2) dt.11-10-2018 2/2 the petitioner at this stage, however, since the petitioner is in custody , the case is of the year, 2000, the learned trial court is directed to expedite the trial and try to conclude it expeditiously. With the aforesaid observation, this application is dismissed.
