The petitioner has challenged the order passed by the Sub-Divisional officer, Jaynagar dated 01.12.2016, whereby and whereunder the P.D.S. licence of the petitioner has been suspended with immediate effect.

I find that it would not be appropriate to keep the instant matter pending and instead, it would be equitable to direct the SubDivisional Officer, Jaynagar to pass a final order in the proceeding started under the Essential Commodities Act, if not already passed, within a period of 08 weeks from today, failing which the order of suspension dated 01.12.2016 shall stand revoked automatically.
