The petitioner has prayed for regular bail in a case registered for the offence punishable under section 387 of the Indian Penal Code.

As per allegation in FIR, the informant happens to be Block Development Officer, Chhauradano, alleged that ten lakhs as ransom has been demanded from him by mobile number 917282091629 and also threatened to face dire consequences.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and has committed no offence. He has falsely been implicated in this case only on the basis of

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.68432 of 2022(2) dt.22-03-2023 2/2 suspicion. It is further submitted vide para 9 of the petition that the alleged mobile number does not belong to this petitioner from which ransom has been demanded. During investigation, no any consistent material has come against the petitioner. It is further submitted that the petitioner is languishing in judicial custody since 21.2.2022.

Learned APP appearing for the state has opposed the prayer of regular bail.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and considering the facts and circumstances of the case as well as custody of the petitioner, this court is inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. The above named petitioner is directed to be released on bail in connection with Chhauradano P.S. Case No. 199 of 2015 on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Raxaul at Motihar, East Champaran.
