2. The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Majhauliya P.S. Case No. 303/2018 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 387, 120(B) of the I.P.C.

3. As per the prosecution case, extortion money of Rs. 20,00,000/- was demanded from the informant.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner has falsely been implicated in the case. The name of the petitioner has surfaced in the self-inculpatory statement of the co-accused. Learned counsel further submits that he has two criminal antecedents and he is in custody since 16.07.2025. The petitioner undertakes to co-operate in the case/ trial.

5. Learned APP for the State has opposed the prayer

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.68977 of 2025(4) dt.18-12-2025 2/2 for regular bail of the petitioner on the ground that he demanded extortion money from the informant.

6. Considering the gravity of the offence, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
