The petitioner seeks pre-arrest bail in connection with POCSO Case No. 33 of 2019 arising out of Halsi P. S. Case No. 138 of 2019 registered under Sections 366A of the Indian Penal Code and Section 8 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.

Considering the delay of 13 days caused in lodging the FIR when the police station is at a distance of 2 km only and there is no plausible explanation for the delay caused, the petitioner, who has taken the plea of innocence, is directed to be released on bail, in the event of arrest or surrender before the court below, on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees ten
