It appears from paragraph no.6 of the counter affidavit that in the light of the report of the S.S.P., Gaya as well as considering other reports, the Superintendent, Central Jail, Gaya has sent the

Patna High Court Cr. WJC No.205 of 2017 dt.20-03-2017 2 / 2 proposal for remission/pre-mature release to I.G. Prisons vide letter No.900 dated 27.02.2017, appended as Annexure E to the counter affidavit. In paragraph no.7, it has been stated that proposal received will be put up before the Bihar State Remission Board for consideration in its next meeting positively. In view of such undertaking made on behalf of the State, this writ application is being disposed of with a direction to the Bihar State Remission Board to consider the case of the petitioners in accordance with law in its next meeting as per the undertaking, which should be convened expeditiously but not later than two months from today.
