1. The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief(s):- "1. For issuance of an appropriate writ in the nature of MANDAMUS, commanding and directing the Respondent nos.5 and 6 for renewal of the petitioner's Arm License of 12 Bore Double Barrel Gun bearing License No. 495 of 1999 and Unique Identification No. (18 digit) 051880001566152014, which is pending for its renewal before the Respondent nos. 5 and 6 from 23.03.2021 notwithstanding that the arms license was given to the petitioner considering the threat to his life and property."

2. At the outset, the learned counsel the for the petitioner seeks a direction upon the District Magistrate, Patna, to dispose off the pending application of the petitioner, filed in the year, 2021, for renewal of the arms license, within a stipulated time frame.

2. Per contra, the learned counsel for the respondentState submits that in case the aforesaid application is still pending consideration, the same would definitely be disposed off, within a stipulated time frame, as is fixed by this Court.

3. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, I deem it fit and proper to direct the District Magistrate, Patna, to dispose off the aforesaid application, filed by the petitioner, for renewal of arms license, in case the same has been filed and is still pending, by passing a reasoned and a speaking order, in accordance with law, within a period of 6 weeks of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

4. The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
