2. The petitioner retired, while serving as Steno-cumTypist in the State Council of Education Research and Training with effect from 31.05.2019. This writ application has been filed seeking direction to the authorities to make payment of his

Patna High Court CWJC No.19921 of 2019(4) dt.02-12-2019 2/2 pension, gratuity, General Provident Fund and amount of commuted, value of pension with statutory interest.

3. A counter affidavit has been filed on behalf of Respondent Nos. 2 and 3.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner has submitted that payments against various heads have been made to the petitioner to his full satisfaction except the interest on the provident fund amount from the month of May, till the month of September when the amount was in fact paid to him. There cannot be any dispute that the petitioner is entitled for interest on his provident fund amount till the date the same was actually paid to him.

5. This application is, accordingly, disposed of with a direction to the Director, State Council of Education Research and Training to ensure that the petitioner is paid interest on his provident fund entitlements from the month of May till the date of actual payment.

6. This application stands disposed of.
