JUSTICE SANJAY PRIYA ORAL ORDER 22-05-2017 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the State. The petitioner seeks bail in Industrial Area P.S. Case No. 25 of 2017 instituted for the offence under Sections-467, 468, 469, 471, 420, 414 of the Indian Penal Code and 30 as well as 47 of the Bihar Excise Act.
As per allegation in the written report, total 10644 bottles of foreign liquor of different brands amounting to 2783.52 litres were recovered from a truck of which, the petitioner was the driver. The petitioner was apprehended on the spot. Therefore, this court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage. Accordingly, prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.24164 of 2017 (2) dt.22-05-2017 2/2 The petitioner is given liberty to renew his prayer for bail after six months, if, the substantial progress is not done in the trial.
