The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Banka P.S. Case No. 172 of 2018 for the offences punishable under Sections 147, 148, 149, 341, 337, 338, 384, 385, 501 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code.

The allegation is regarding 14 known and 15-20 unknown persons having assaulted the informant and his family members, resulting in them sustaining injury. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and has been falsely implicated in the present case. It is further submitted that there is no allegation of any specific overt act as against the petitioner herein. The injuries are said to be simple in nature and the petitioner is

Lastly, it is submitted that the similarly situated co-accused persons have been granted bail by this Court by order dated 4.12.2018 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 71805 of 2018.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be enlarged on regular bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/- with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Banka in connection with Banka P.S. Case No. 172 of 2018.
