2. This is the third attempt on behalf of the petitioner, who is in custody since 25.05.2016 and has renewed his prayer for bail in connection with Maithani P.S. Case No. 61 of 2015 for the offences alleged under Sections 302 and 120B/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 27 of the Arms Act having earlier been rejected by orders dated 04.04.2017 and 15.05.2018 in Cr. Misc. No. 13168 of 2017 and Cr. Misc. No. 11753 of 2018, respectively.

3. At the very outset, this Court takes note of the status report received from the learned Court below pursuant to the order of this Court dated 20.01.2021, wherein it has been stated

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.67777 of 2019(6) dt.24-02-2021 2/2 that charges were framed on 03.01.2018 and the prosecution case was closed on 01.02.2019. Statement of the accused under Section 313 of the Cr. P.C. was taken on 14.02.2019. The case is pending for argument of the defence side.

4. Having regard to the stage of the trial, this Court is not inclined to grant the privilege of bail to the petitioner. The bail petition stands dismissed with observation that the trial be concluded expeditiously and in any event preferably within a period of four months from today.
