JUSTICE P. B. BAJANTHRI) Date : 08-04-2024 The present M.J.C./Contempt petition is filed for non-compliance of order dated 03.01.2006 passed in C.W.J.C. No. 14561 of 2003.

2. The petitioners had cause of action in the year 2007, whereas the present M.J.C./Contempt petition has been filed in the year 2023. In terms of Section 20 of the Contempt of Courts Act, limitation is one year. Co-ordinate Bench in the case of Dr. Rajesh Kumar Sinha & Ors. Vs. The Union of India &

Patna High Court MJC No.3023 of 2023 dt.08-04-2024 3/3 Ors. bearing M.J.C. No. 1840 of 2023 in C.W.J.C. No. 13888 of 2016 elaborately considered Section 20 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 read with Article 215 of the Constitution.

3. In the light of the aforementioned legal position, the present petition is not maintainable on the ground of limitation. Accordingly, the present M.J.C./Contempt petition stands dismissed, reserving liberty to the petitioner to invoke writ petition.
